the first bluebonnet of the new year. or shall i call it a blue lupine? one thing i do know is that although it is a lupine it is not lupine. hmmm? and i did learn how to pronounce it thanks to CL and MW. yes, i remember it is the state flower of Texas.

the first two below are from my long friday walk. the two above were taken while i was doing my laundry this evening. the rest are from this morning's walk to the beach.

suzuran or snowbells? as much as i would like it to be a suzuran, i think one name for these flowers is snowbells.

hurrying to catch the bus to the gym, i realized i had left the battery for my camera in the charger so i quickly returned home. hurrying to catch the bus to the gym again, i realized i had left the SD card in the SD card reader so i quickly returned home. hurrying to catch the bus to the gym, i could not resist stopping to take a photo of this tanpopo with a sprinkling of morning dew.

here are some images from my walk today . . . up and over and around the hills and back to and along the beach and finally to Trader Joe's for some groceries before catching the bus home around 2pm . . . i left at 8am.
