Viva Love

same story. my destination was seeing Humbert Humbert at Club Quattro in Shinsaibashi but by arriving early, i was able to hear two separate and totally different bands. one was playing Irish music on the sidewalk near Parco and the other was playing inside Miki Gakki (music shop, gakki is imstrument). both were excellent. and then a couple of hours later, i was able to see and hear the wonderful Humberto Humbert. a big okini (thank you) to Noriko for this early birthday present. their encore was my favorite song, Onaji Hanashi (same story) which i i have added the video from youtube twice. more about all that tomorrow. it was a day of firsts here at home as i picked up Noriko`s Father and sat him a wheelchair near the front (not sure what to call this sliding door/window/access to the washing hanging outside to dry) area. he looked happy to be able to see some cherry blossoms petals floating by was well as being able to see the blue sky, his pine tree and the kazaguruma (pin wheel) i gave him last year. and then later as we were leaving for Senri-chuo, some of Noriko`s relatives stopped by. i think it was the first time for me to meet them. time for bed. i will add one or two photos from today but no photos allowed in Club Quattro.

almost a funny story . . .

it took a few trys but Noriko was able to reserve a seat for me to see ハンバートハンバート(Humberto Humberto) (Humbert Humbert) for an early birthday present. after "clicking" accept and getting a confirmation number to pick up the ticket at any AM/PM, we searched online for the nearest AM/PM and at first thought that it was going to be near KIX (Kansai International Airport) which is a couple of hours drive away or about a $20 limo bus ride (each way). but fortunately we found we near Makiochi train station which is about a 10 minute drive. it would have cost about the same to go get the tickets as for the concert.

a relaxing song to end a relaxing sunday. back to the gym tomorrow. back to getting organized tomorrow. back to putting off getting organized tomorrow ☺

cosmos update

i planted these cosmos seeds last saturday. it was the anniversary of my Grandmother's birth. i think she would have been 86 years old.

in case you forgot who Humbert Humbert is. the is the first song i ever heard by them while listening to an un-labeled cassette tape of FM802. it is also the first song on the cd i received in the mail today. i would love to see them in concert.

Umeda not ume da

yesterday i went to Umeda which was my first trip into the big city of Osaka since i arrived about a week ago. first to check out the street live music, then to find HMV music (closed down) then to Tower Records (bought Humbert Humbert) back to street live (bought one cd of the band below called Clear Doll) and then to Yodobashi Camera.

i bought some pan (bread) for tomorrow`s (today) breakfast
