c l o s e r . . . to home but not home yet. from where i am sitting i can see a pyramid, the empire state building, mandalay bay, blue sky and some mountains. oh yeah, and some slot machines. hopefully i will be home in another couple of hours.

now back in Chester. luckily yesterday's snow storm caused no problems getting back to Philly after training. but more snow is on the way (or so "they" so).
new schedule for the next few days due to "picking up" a 4-day trip for tomorrow. i will be ending up in Charlotte (fri), Las Vegas (sat), and Orlando (sun). and if all that goes as planned, i will be on a flight home on monday afternoon.

things did not go as planned. and things are still going well for a couple of my LA co-workers who will hopefully make it here for training by tomorrow morning. I made it on the 1145am flight which left around 230pm. I am sure there are thousands of stories of people stranded in Philly or trying to get to and/or thru Philly.

36f and partly cloudy and still here in Chester, still in room 315 at the Days Inn. the good news is i will finally be leaving here tomorrow morning heading for Charlotte, NC . . . the bad, well not really bad (more like unfortunate)(hopefully my supervisor will see it that way) news is i wasn't able to "pick up" a trip for Monday, today, or tomorrow. there is another winter storm coming so i will try an earlier flight
tomorrow to get to Charlotte. my yearly training is on Thursday. if all that goes well, i will fly back to Philly on thursday night and then back to the Days Inn. I have a trip to LA on Friday (subject to change). and now you know some of the rest of the story. time to do laundry and then a short walk in the nearly freezing weather.

I think it warmed up to the lower 20's. and I found out today that I need to where my glasses more especially when looking up the list containing the names of those who received a leave of absence for March. I thought I didn't receive a leave due to missing the deadline for submitting my LOA request. today I found out I did. よかった！

and we''re back . . . in Chester. the temperature is in the mid-20's (outside) and nice and toasty (inside). it looks like more snow may be on the way. and it looks like I may be here for another couple of days before heading to Charlotte for training on Thursday.

so far, everything is going as planned. 615a bus to LAX. 845a flight to PHL. currently somewhere around 35,000 feet, 587 mph and about an hour east of LA which means only another 3 hour and 15 minutes to go. I am in a middle seat but . . . no one on either side of me. it is like being on a vacation. i wonder what the movie today is : ) soon, I will be having my lunch which I brought from home. now it is time for a little nap. oh, I just noticed it is exactly 3 months until . . .
