what a difference a day makes

28 hours difference

i should have been on my way back to LA from Philly and then over to Phoenix today but things did not go as planned yesterday. so, i had to take advantage of a beautiful sunny sunday morning and walk to the beach.

14 hours later . . . still in LA

as so today's adventure begins

let's just say things did not go as planned. i am home. and if all goes as planned . . . i will be flying back east on tuesday. here are a few photos from my rainy saturday morning. and at 6pm, it had just began to rain heavily again. good sleepin' weather 2.

is it that time already?

if all goes well (another snowstorm back east), i will be at the "commuter" hotel in Philly (actually Chester) this time tomorrow. i plan to be home at least by the evening of the 8th if not sooner. on the 9th is my next dental appointment. my 4-day trip (for work) doesn't start until sunday afternoon but the early early flight tomorrow morning has about 80 seats open, and that's a good thing. of course, that will mean catching the bus around...445a. time to start packing my suitcase. i did make it to the gym today but no walk to the beach. the clouds have returned and rain is expected. hopefully, it will either rain before or after my early morning walk to the bus stop. here are a few photos from today. i missed my bus by 30 seconds so i started walking. the first three photos were taken while walking to and waiting on the next bus to the gym.

first february beach walk?

i think this was my first walk to and on the beach and sunset viewing during the month of February. looking back thru my blog, i was in Japan from the 1st thru the 10th of Feb. at the gym on the 11th and 12th. i flew back east on the 13th and back to work on the 14th. i didn't return to LA until late on the 22nd. back to the gym on the 23rd and 24th. and to the dentist today. so, i guess this was my first walk to the beach in about a month. maybe i will go back tomorrow. here are a few images from my walk and after my nap after my dental appointment. oh, i did receive a new (old) Columbo in the mail today so that's what i will be enjoying with dinner.

after the rain and during my pain (not really)

on the way to the my dental appointment. blue sky, i should be on my way to the beach

ELT is not just an emergency locator transmitter

every once in awhile (actually maybe every day) something i see, hear, read and/or come across reminds me of something else. in a way it is all connected. well, on monday after flying back and forth across the country and sitting at the bus stop waiting for the bus to come and take me home, i looked up to see the LAX Pylon glowing purple and green and then blue in the night. and then i saw the moon. i thought of the song Azure Moon by Every Little Thing. i love the feeling of this song as well as Kaori Mochida's voice and Ichiro Ito's guitar. the feeling of looking up at the same moon that someone else is looking up and seeing. finally someone added this song to youtube about 10 days ago. thank you someone. and of course, the same moon idea reminded me of one of my favorite singers Kazumasa Oda and his Same Moon tour which i was fortunate to see two of his concerts on that tour. wow, that was 10 years ago.

another good workout at the gym today after finding out my excellent work schedule for April. i will officially be off from around the 14th of March thru the 15th of April . . . where to go, where to go . . .
