part 2 of my little Austin musical adventure

Michael Mordecai's late night jazz jam session at The Elephant Room
can't remember the excellent and very entertaining jazz flutist's name but the trombonist is the emcee of the event and musician-on-stage coordinator.
i think there were at least 30-40 musicians who played at one time or another in the 4 hours i was there.

watching the soloist

Speedy G. on trombone

Jeff Lofton on trumpet

roof top late night lounge...it took me too long to figure out how to get in so i missed the last few minutes of more live music. i think it was country music
but the place looked more like a very comfortable living room with couches, throw pillows and candles flickering.

the bench where i took a little nap at 3am

315am this cockroach seemed as surprised to see me as i was to see him.
they everything is bigger in Texas, luckily this insect of the Blatteria order wasn't one of them.

street level view from Congress Avenue around 330am.

430am on 7th Street...not sure where he was going or where he came from.  he was standing in the middle of the street for about 5 minutes before a police car pulled up and one of the policemen yelled at him "get out of the street".  they looked at me and shrugged. i was waiting for the 5am bus back to the airport.

the bus came at 5am.  back to the airport by 520a.  through security by 535a.  on the plane to Phoenix at 545a.  take off at 6am.  and sitting next to me was an Angel... another story for another time.
