before the rain
a rare treat to see a real Tsugaru shamisen player. here is master and student. i thought i was going to have the best view but didn`t take into account the slight turning of their bodies (away from me as it turned out). there was an "opening act" and i could see all of the shamisen as well as the koto and shakuhachi musicians. i will add their photo tomorrow as well as the name of the master Tsugaru shamisen player who i think came all the way from Tokyo for this little free concert put on by the Minoo NPO (non-profit organization) in their center at the nearby Visola Market Place shopping mall. it is time for bed and it has just started raining again.
