i am still reading up on and trying to figure out all the features on my new Panasonic point-and-shoot camera. here are a few images from this morning before and after the gym

after the gym and while watching the baseball games, i have been going thru boxes of photos. i was hoping to find a photo of the old guitar player from yesterday. not yet. i have found hundreds and hundreds of photos which leads to hundreds and hundreds of memories. and that is only from two boxes . . . i have about 50 boxes of photos (pre-digital).

i can't remember the name of the temple in Kyoto where i took this photo but i think it was either in 2003 or 2004. the head monk could speak a little English and was very interesting. he took a photo with me... shall i add it? me 5 years ago. maybe someday.

O-tsukisama お月様 (the moon) this morning at 710am while waiting on the bus. it was heading for the ocean and i, the gym.

after 2 and half hours of cardio, i decided to try and jog a little on the treadmill. i also set a realistic goal . . . half a mile (.5 mile). it took 6 minutes but i made it. hard to believe the last time i jogged was about 5 years ago and my last marathon was in 2001. my heart rate (according to the display on the treadmill) said 160. seems a little high to me : ) after that mile, i slowed it down to more moderate pace and increased the incline (to make up for not actually jogging). so if you are keeping track, 3 hours straight of cardio this morning and now it is time for lunch and a nap.

tonite's moon

my neighbor Robert and his Mother (to my right not Dave from Ireland to my left) will be moving soon. tonite he asked for some of my photos to take with him. any moon photos and/or flower photos and/or sunset photos? . . . yes, yes and yes. with his help i took a photo of tonite's moon. he told me he liked the color blue so i am let him add some blue tint to the moon photo. after he left, i played a little more with the photo and came up with this image . . .
