this past thursday morning i walked to Japantown in San Francisco on my way to see the Painted Ladies in Alamo Square Park.  i thought the sound of the sprinklers sounded like summer.  and then Marco and Polo showed up . . .

that was Day 2 of my 4-day trip.  more photos from Day 1 in San Francisco later.  now i am home in LA on an easy 2-day trip.  tomorrow, i fly back to Philadelphia. still not sure what i will do while waiting to start another 4-day trip on wednesday. i am thinking of going to Manhattan on tuesday just for the day.  it has been awhile since i have been in New York City.
