Ama Cha for ...

today we had some "ama cha" to celebrate . . . Buddha`s birthday. Noriko`s family received some of this special "sweet tea" from a temple in Shikoku recently. i went for a little walk around noon. i wanted to see if the two types of cherry blossom trees at the small neighborhood temple were in full bloom. they were. and then i went to the small neighborhood park called Bonoshima Koen to check on their cherry blossoms. full bloom. i ended up having lunch outside by the river that separates the two sides of the Minoo Market Park (shopping mall). it is lined with cherry blossom trees. on my walk back home i bought some Maple Housee Saku Saku shucream to celebrate Noriko`s first day back to work and also for her Mother who likes this tasty desert. we had the ama cha with shucream.
