more sunshine more sakura more street live

tonite`s main course was kushikatsu. Noriko will start back to work tomorrow so she wanted to make something special. she will be too busy to cook such meals once the new school year has begun (except weekends). it was delicious as always, gochisosama deshita.

Cocoapoco. they sang a very nice cover version of Kaze by Kobukuro . . . Noriko`s favorite duo, and also her inspiration for living : )

WaKA-yama love song

Sakomoto Keisuke (no Ryo, so no Ozaka Range today)

for some it was the first day of school or at least a ceremony for first year students. i saw many children and parents all dressed up walking from the local elementary school and also at Ryokuchi Koen (park). the red "randoseru" (backpack) this girl is wearing costs probably between $300 and $400 (probably closer to $400 if her Grandparents bought it). she is posing in front of the sakura tunnel street which i formely always called Sakuradori. Sakuradori is actually the street which runs to the front of Minoo train station. it was also in full bloom yesterday.

heavenly sakura

looks like (and it was) a nice place for a picnic

the family that slides together, stays together

i think this tree as were most in Ryokuchi Koen was "mankai" (full bloom). from this angle it may be hard to tell especially looking straight up into the sunlight but the sky was beautifully blue.

she told the cherry blossoms to "smile".

this is an ikebana (flower arrangement) i made from the cherry blossoms that Daigo-chan gave me on saturday. they have bloomed quite nicely i think.
