all things went well. everything went as scheduled. i got the last seat (a middle seat) on the 11 hour and 15 minute flight from LAX to NRT (LA to Tokyo). my neighbor on the right was a businessman who used to live in LA and knows my area (Torrance, Redondo Beach, Palos Verdes) very well.
he recommended a beautiful island south of Tokyo...about 15 hours by boat. maybe next time.
i barely got on the flight from Tokyo to Osaka. the flight was scheduled to leave at 555pm and at 535p, i was finally told i had a seat on the flight. i slept for the hour flight to Itami.
Noriko was waiting for me. we decided on tonkatsu for dinner at Charleston. if you remember last time (Feb.) when we went there it was closed. it was delicious. the last time we had dinner at Charleston it was raining and it was raining again tonite. tomorrow will be the big day. her Father is coming home from the hospital after being there since Christmas. it will be a different life for everyone here from tomorrow. Minna-san, Ganbatte. time for bed. i almost fell asleep in the bath. Noriko`s Mother is happy i am here. oh, we realized something kind of amusing. from tomorrow i will be the only one here sleeping on a futon. Noriko has always had a bed. her Mother got her first bed in February. and her Father`s bed was delivered yesterday.
my futon is calling me. . .
