no rabbits in Japan but ponies are ok

as i have said/written before, you never know what you will see in Japan. and if you are with me, you are sure to see something interesting . . .

apparently someone kept bringing their rabbits into Japan . . . Japan is the name of a store we go to in Minoo for my Gogo-tea and a few other groceries. i think there may be Japan stores in other cities in . . . Japan. i thought it was amusing that they had to make a sign saying specifically no rabbits as well as no dogs and no cats. i think it really says "no pets" so i had to leave tony in the car.

takoyaki from my favorite takoyakiya-san called Takozo at Senri-chuo. we had a late lunch due to various reasons today so we drove to Senri-chuo for takoyaki and then dropped off some laundry at the coin laundry. i suggested eating our takoyaki up on the hill overlooking Osaka. i needed to get something to drink so i walked to the Coop (grocery store). i had taken a photo of this little green van from Noriko`s car which seemed to be selling flowers on the sidewalk in front of a little park. and as i was walking by i saw something very interesting . . .

no, not a donkey

it`s a P O N Y !!!

Ume-chan the pony. the rest of the story is that Noriko has been telling me for over a year about seeing a donkey in Minoo but i have never seen it. and then by chance today i found it.
and it turned out to be a pony. okashii, ne. oh, and i got to feed her also. i can`t remember the last time i fed a pony in Torrance : ) the owner of the pony has a little flower shop in her van.
she and the pony and flowers drive around from place to place. if i ever quit my job i will think about a pony/flower shop. or maybe a squirrel/flower shop.

perhaps not everyone`s traditional Irish dinner for St. Patrick`s Day but it was delicious as always. you can`t see it very well but the dish on the left has usagi, i mean unagi. (usagi is rabbit and unagi is eel). gochisosamadeshita.
