Market Street Festival in Hollywood . . . i mean, Inglewood

today's little adventure (only 2 buses each way) took me to Inglewood for the Market Street Festival. the photos below are from the live music on the Queen Street Stage and from the car show further down Market near Florence Ave. i think this was the 12th year for this Celebration of the Arts in Inglewood.
Zola Moon and her band are always fun. i think i have seen her at least 5 times at various venues.

2 shades of yellow

i missed the beginning of this band as i was checking out the cars. they were very entertaining but i don't know who they were. songs by Aretha, Etta and Maze.

i am not exactly sure who or what this guy was but he was on stilts and very colorful.

he is a Reverend as well as saxman. Hallelujah!

Elliot Caine on trumpet. i think this was my third time to see Elliot and his Septet. excellent straight-up and Latin Jazz. Nick Mancini on vibes. Kenny Elliot on drums.

Carl Randall on tenor sax. Bill Markus on bass.

the Bobby Matos on congas. and Rick Olson on keyboards.
